BYOB Sailing on the Outer Banks
One of the best parts of sailing on the Downeast Rover? You can make it your own.
We invite (and encourage) our guests to BYOB (bring your own beverage) aboard the ship to while cruising the beautiful waters of the Outer Banks to make your event complete.
What to Bring
There’s nothing like setting sail on the careening waters of North Carolina’s Outer Banks with good company and your favorite food and drink. On the Downeast Rover, we encourage our guests to bring along a cooler filled with snacks, drinks and delightful desserts.
Alcoholic beverages are also allowed on the boat, so celebrate a special occasion and sip your preferred beverage as you cruise along the Roanoke Sound.
We recommend bringing:
- A cooler with drinks and snacks
- Sandwiches, charcuterie, or a full picnic
- Wine, beer, champagne, or your beverage of choice
- Cups, napkins, and anything else you may need
Many guests turn their sail into a full picnic on the water, perfect for birthdays, anniversaries, or simply relaxing with friends and family.
What We Supply
To make things easy, the Downeast Rover crew has you covered with the essentials onboard.
We provide:
- A large shared cooler with ice
- Cups and glasses
- Corkscrew and bottle openers
- Trash disposal during your cruise
All you need to do is bring what you’d like to enjoy, we’ll take care of the rest. We will also handle the disposal of any trash during your cruise.
