Sailing Charter Pricing
Planning your time on the water is easy with the Downeast Rover. If you’re joining a daytime sail, catching a sunset, or booking a private charter, our pricing is straightforward, so you can focus on enjoying the experience.
All sails are approximately 2 hours long and depart from the Manteo waterfront.
Day Sails Pricing
Enjoy a relaxing cruise across the Roanoke Sound during the day.
$45 per person
Sunset Cruise Pricing
Experience one of the most popular activities on the OBX, sunset on the water.
$60 per person
Private Charter Pricing
Reserve the entire schooner for your group and create a personalized experience on the water.
Private Daytime Charters (up to 25 people): $700
Sunset Private Charters (up to 25 people): $1,400

What’s Included
Your sailing experience includes everything you need for a relaxing time on the water:
- 2-hour sailing experience
- Friendly, experienced crew
- Cups and basic onboard amenities
- A smooth sail through protected sound waters
Guests are welcome to bring their own food, drinks, and coolers (including alcohol) at no additional cost.
Payment & Booking Information
Charters operate seasonally from May through October, with multiple sail times available throughout the day.
- Reservations are recommended, especially during peak season
- Accepted payment methods include cash, personal checks, and Visa and MasterCard credit cards. Please make checks payable to “Downeast Rover.”
- Tips and gratuity for the crew is not included in prices but always appreciated!
